The first passengers of Easyjet arrived in Dalaman.


Being one of the leading low-scheduled airline companies in the world, EASYJET went into flights between London and Dalaman. The first airplane of EASYJET landed on ATM Dalaman International Terminal with 190 passengers. The governor of Muğla, the Deputy of Muğla, the District Governor of Dalaman and the General Manager of ATM Hamdi Güvenç welcomed the first passenger of the Airline with flowers.

The General Manager of ATM Hamdi Güvenç stated in the welcoming ceremony that it was an important stage for the tourism in Dalaman, Fethiye, Marmaris, Datça and Dalyan that EASYJET airline company started off flights to Dalaman.

Güvenç, stated that their goal was to make ATM Dalaman Airport a favored airport and said "Dalaman destination is an important tourism region and every passing day it is favored more and more. With EASYJET organizing flights to Dalaman, more tourists shall travel to our region".

Moreover, within the frame of the cooperation carried out between Dalaman ATM and EASYJET, the fist family to enter in Dalaman Airport was awarded with one-week holiday in a boutique hotel in Sarıgerme.

The Marketing Director of EASYJET Peter Voets stated that their growth in Europe was limited, that they saw a potential in Turkey and that thru planned to increase the frequency of the flights. Peter Voets, stating that there was a good substructure in Dalaman and the security was in the international level, explained that the hotel capacity of the region was increasing and the region had a marvelous accommodation basis. Peter Voets underlined that the subject condition would be a great convenience for Easyjet and added that 15 thousand of English people lived in Dalaman and they would experience the easiness of going to and coming from their country.

Dalaman airport International Terminal Operator ATM General Manager Hamdi Güvenç said that the second most important touristic region of Turkey Muğla, Dalaman region was superior to Antalya. Hamdi Güvenç underlining that Dalaman had natural beauties, said that Dalaman was a region having alternatives as regards the variety of tourism.
