
In a competition organized by the world-famous Architecture Review magazine, Emre Arolat Architecture received recognition with the Dalaman International Terminal.
One award of the international architecture competition organized by Architecture Review magazine since 1999, has found its way to Turkey. Emre Arolat Architecture has won a "Highly Commended" award with the Dalaman International Terminal.
The project for the terminal was prepared by Emre Arolat and Bünyamin Derman, and won first place in the competition organized by the State Airports Administration in 1999. The construction was awarded to the ATM consortium on a Build-Operate-Transfer plan in 2004.
EAA - Emre Arolat Architects was the first architecture company in Turkey to win one of the 10 "AR Awards for Emerging Architecture". There were 462 contestants from 53 different countries this year for the prizes, considered to be the most important architectural awards in the world, awarded each year to architects below the age of 45 from all ower the world on completed buildings.
The Emerging Architecture Awards are granted to constructions that contribute to community life, designed with an awareness of environmental and social responsibility instead of special examples of architecture as a commanding art form concerned only with shape.
